Business Pitch Episode Recap
Maddie appeared on Shark Tank with her younger sister and mother, asking the Sharks for $300,000 in exchange for 15% equity in her company. She demonstrated her jewelry products, explaining that her target audience is girls aged 8 to 18 years old. Additionally, Maddie mentioned that she has collaborated with her mom to create the “Spark of Life” jewelry line.
They’ve been selling these products for 5 years, and now their items are available in thousands of retail stores nationwide. Impressively, over the past 5 years, they have achieved total sales of $5 million, with $1.6 million in sales just last year. These sales come from large department stores, toy stores, and many other outlets.
Last year, the company’s profit was $1 million. They need the Sharks’ help to enter the global market.
Kevin O’Leary offered $300,000 but wanted 30% equity in the company. Lori Greiner teamed up with Kevin and offered $300,000 as well, but they asked for 40% equity in return.
Daymond John said that other Sharks would be more beneficial for this business, so he is out.
Mark Cuban, focusing on Lori’s offer, said that partnering with Kevin was not the right move but he would join Lori in the deal and offered $300,000 for 30% equity.
Robert Herjavec said he didn’t believe Maddie was ready to give up 30% equity. Kevin persuaded Robert to team up with him and offered $300,000 for 30% equity.
Maddie countered, requesting $300,000 for 20% equity with Robert, Lori, and Mark. However, the Sharks insisted on 30% equity. Maddie eventually accepted the Sharks’ offer of $300,000 for 30% equity, with the condition that she would also receive three Dallas Mavericks season tickets.

M3 Girl Designs Shark Tank Update
After the deal, the business saw skyrocketing growth. However, there was no proof that the deal was signed backstage. A few years later, M3 Girl Designs faced three lawsuits due to trademark infringement. After enduring considerable trouble, Maddie and her family decided to shut down M3 Girl Designs in 2015.
Although the business was shut down, it achieved lifetime sales of $5.5 million with a $4 million profit. As of August 2024, Maddie Bradshaw is working as the Director of Product at Inspirit AI.
