Business Pitch Episode Recap

Leslie revealed that her product was available in 103 independent retail stores in the United States, Canada, and Sweden. However, the last year’s annual sales were only $60,000. At the age of 34, Leslie was diagnosed with breast cancer, which significantly slowed down her business. After recovering from cancer, she resumed working hard to grow her business.

Each pack contains 6 Charms and retails for $19.95. Leslie mentioned that in the future, she plans to license this product and sell it as a gift item along with grill items. She needs the money to participate in trade shows, which she believes will increase the product’s sales.

Kevin Harrington and Daymond John teamed up and offered $50,000 for 50% equity. Robert Herjavec also offered $50,000 for 25% equity. Kevin O’Leary proposed $50,000 for 20% equity plus a 7% royalty.

Leslie counter-offered Kevin and Daymond with 49% equity, but they declined. Since Leslie was not comfortable giving up 50% ownership, she accepted Robert’s offer.
