According to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), lawn mowers cause more pollution than cars and are also very loud. As a solution, Andy Humphrey invented Ecomowers, which are completely eco-friendly and produce no sound.
To replace environmentally harmful lawn mowers with Ecomowers and expand his business, Andy Humphrey appeared on Shark Tank Season 2, seeking help from the Sharks. Did any of the Sharks show interest in investing in his business?

Business Pitch Episode Recap
Andy asked the Sharks for $90,000 in exchange for 20% equity in his company. He demonstrated his product to the Sharks and explained how it is environmentally friendly.
He told the Sharks that Ecomowers do not require any gas or batteries. You just need to place it on the grass and push, and it will cut the grass on its own.
Daymond John didn’t think the product was new to the market because Ecomowers works the same way as push lawn mowers, with no significant difference between them.
Andy explained that his mower is silent, safe, and doesn’t require blade sharpening, which sets it apart from push lawnmowers.
Currently, Andy is the only provider of such mowers in the United States that don’t require blade sharpening. However, similar products are already available in Europe and Germany.
Andy started his business with an online store where he sold push lawn mowers. This year, he has achieved $350,000 in sales, but his Ecomowers are still in the prototype stage, and he needs an investment from the Sharks to develop the final product.
All 5 Sharks treated Andy’s presentation as a joke because they didn’t believe his product was innovative.
Initially, Daymond John did not like the product and decided not to invest.
Robert Herjavec said that the product name, Eco Mower, does not match the product, and although it could be a licensing deal, he is still out.
Barbara Corcoran said that there is too much competition in the market, so she is out.
Kevin O’Leary said he is confused about the product and not interested, so he is out.
All four Sharks declined to invest in Andy’s business, and his last hope, Jeff Foxworthy, also chose not to invest.

Ecomowers Shark Tank Update
Although Andy did not secure funding from the Sharks, he remained confident about launching his product in the market. He successfully developed the final product and launched it on Amazon under the name Helix Ecomowers, aiming to generate millions in sales.
Many customers who purchased the Helix Ecomowers from Amazon for grass cutting were dissatisfied with the product. Most buyers reported that the blade was not functioning properly.
During research on Ecomowers, it was discovered that the company has been closed since 2021. As of August 2024, Andy’s Sprinkler Supply Store, established in 2010, is still operational. Additionally, Andy has been running the Sprinkler Nerd Podcast since 2019.
