Business Pitch Episode Recap

Amanda asked the Sharks for $30,000 in exchange for 25% equity in her company. She demonstrated her wedge-shaped pillow product and explained the business’s growth potential and the need for her product to the Sharks.

Lori Greiner asked Amanda how many women experience difficulties sleeping on their stomachs. Amanda explained that approximately 5 to 10 million women worldwide who undergo breast implants face this issue. However, she surprised the Sharks by revealing that since 2008, she has only sold a total of 83 units.

Mark Cuban expressed concern that the business hadn’t grown in three years. Amanda explained that as a single working mom, she lacked both the time and money to invest in the business.

Kevin O’Leary pointed out that only 83 units had been sold and stated that “no one can make money from this product.” He suggested that Amanda should not spend more time on it. He is out.

Lori said that it’s a niche product and suggested changing the product name. She is out.

Robert Herjavec believes that there isn’t a market need for this product, so he is out. Daymond John said he doesn’t have enough knowledge about this market, so he is out.

Mark Cuban doesn’t believe in Amanda’s ability to grow the business, so he is also out.
