Business Pitch Episode Recap
Kiersten asked the Sharks for $90k in exchange for 25% equity in her company. She demonstrated her product and shared her business journey with them.
She revealed that last year’s sales were $35,000. Additionally, she received an order from a celebrity, and her products are being sold in retail stores in 17 different countries.
The average cost to make one box is $115, and it sells for $475, including shipping.
Kiersten’s goal is to set up a manufacturing facility and hire workers, allowing her to build over 100 products each week, which will help scale the business. Additionally, she plans to focus on making case goods furniture.
To achieve this, a significant amount of money is needed. Therefore, Barbara Corcoran said she is out.
Daymond John also declined to invest. Kevin Harrington believed the toy box furniture business wouldn’t grow very big, so he is out as well.
Kevin O’Leary offered $90k for 33% equity plus a 7.5% royalty until the initial $90k investment is recouped. Robert Herjavec offered the same amount, $90k for 33% equity after $500k in sales.
Kiersten decided to accept Robert’s offer.
