Nancy Bush’s husband passed away, and to make his funeral memorable, she organized it with a party-like theme. This experience inspired her to start the “My Wonderful Life” business, which she co-founded with Sue Kruskopf.
Their business offers individuals the opportunity to plan their own funerals by selecting their favorite themes and decorations. To do this, they need to prepay and can designate up to four people who will ensure that their final wishes are fulfilled.
Let’s find out if any of the Sharks showed interest in investing in this funeral business and what eventually happened to it.

Business Pitch Episode Recap
Sue Kruskopf and Nancy Bush entered Shark Tank seeking $100,000 in exchange for 10% equity in their company, valuing it at $1 million. They explained their business concept to the Sharks.
Kevin O’Leary mentioned that he likes the “Dead Guy” business but questioned how money could be made from it.
In response, Nancy explained that they had partnered with one of the largest insurance companies in the country. Through this partnership, they developed a new product called the “My Wonderful Life Plan,” which would charge customers on a monthly or annual basis to plan their funerals.
All the money from people who buy this plan will go to the insurance company, and My Wonderful Life will receive a 5% commission from that amount.
Nancy explained that they have had 7,000 customers in three years, but the bad news is that they haven’t made a profit yet.
Mark Cuban asked if they had signed an exclusive deal with the insurance company. Sue Kruskopf replied that they hadn’t, so Mark said, “He is out.”
Daymond John said that if he invested in the business, he did not believe he would see a return on his money, so he is out.
Barbara Corcoran said that the business is still in its early stage, so she is out.
Robert Herjavec said that this is not a real business, so he is out.
Sue and Nancy’s last hope was Kevin, but he also declined to invest, as he didn’t believe the business would be profitable.
