Business Pitch Episode Recap
Kyle appeared on Shark Tank with his two daughters, asking for $50,000 in exchange for 50% equity in his company. He also gave a demonstration of his product through a beautiful dance performance.
Kyle said, “Who is ready to partner with an experienced inventor?” To this, Barbara Corcoran responded that she was ready to be out.
She doesn’t like the product for three main reasons. First, wearing light-up stickers while sitting would be very uncomfortable. Second, the stickers probably wouldn’t hold up well after washing. Third, the design of the stickers is outdated.
Mark Cuban believes that this product isn’t effectively attracting its core audience. Kyle mentioned that he has two patents pending: the first one is for the Detachable Lighting Design, and the second is for the Twinkle Cheeks Fashion Line.
Kevin O’Leary stated that this product doesn’t have the potential to be successful and that there’s nothing proprietary about it, so he’s out.
Robert Herjavec agreed with Barbara, saying that the product looks outdated, so he is out.
Daymond John said that similar products are already available in the market, so he is out.
Kyle’s last hope was Mark Cuban, but he also declined to invest.

Tail Lightz Shark Tank Update
The Sharks didn’t believe the product would be successful, but Kyle didn’t want to accept their opinions. He went ahead and launched the final product. Unfortunately, the product didn’t succeed, and Kyle had to shut down the Tail Lightz business in 2015.
During research on Tail Lightz, we discovered that Kyle Rainey started a new business named PointBands in September 2023. This business primarily sells wrist scorekeeper bands for pickleball, golf, and tennis.
