Business Pitch Episode Recap

Tennelle asked the Sharks for $30,000 in exchange for 35% equity in her company. She demonstrated her product and explained that the “foot pocket” is made from water-resistant nylon, which helps keep it clean.

Robert Herjavec asked Tennelle how many units she had sold so far. Tennelle responded that she had only sold 100 units in the local market.

Mark Cuban says this product looks like ’13th-century monk’s robes,’ and he doesn’t think it will be successful, so he is out.

Lori Greiner said that the snuggie trend is dead, and this sweatshirt is just another version of the snuggie, so she is out.

Robert Herjavec said that the sweatshirt doesn’t look attractive and that Daymond John is the only one who might invest in this business, so he is out.

Kevin O’Leary said that the real opportunity lies between Tennelle and Daymond, so he is out.

All 4 Sharks declined to invest, and Tennelle’s last hope is Daymond.

Daymond said he couldn’t add any value to the business, so he is out.

The Swilt Shark Tank Update

After receiving negative feedback from the Sharks, Tennelle decided to stop working on her product. We believe Lori was right when she said this product was just another version of the snuggie trend, which had died out years ago.

Tennelle is currently working as an Assistant Principal at a high school in the Santa Ana Unified School District.
